Cognizant Foundation India partners with Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital to scale ROP screening and treatment in Delhi NCR and Mathura district, UP
Delhi: Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital (SCEH), Delhi in partnership with Cognizant Foundation India is glad to announce the launch of Cognizant Foundation India’s Sight4All initiative aimed at transforming the screening and treatment of Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) across Delhi NCR C Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh. Cognizant Foundation India has donated a Retina Laser with Laser Indirect Ophthalmoscope (1 unit) Anaesthesia Neonatal Workstation C Multipara monitor (1 unit) Hand-Held Camera Forus Neocom (3 Nethra) (3 units) to SCEH Hospital for implementing and scaling the ROP screening and treatment. This project seeks to extend vital screening and treatment for ROP making a significant impact on the lives of 2,500 preterm babies and their families in the region.
This extended initiative will enhance the hospital's ability to provide early detection and treatment services by incorporating advanced technology, skilled personnel, and wider outreach to neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) in the region. The program will cover additional NICUs, strengthen the hospital's screening and treatment efforts, and bring specialized care closer to at-risk newborns and their families.
